The Raindrop

I am like the people of earth
Life full of twists, unstable from birth
Deep down the trenches, it's dark and gloomy.
Many are forgotten, as the waves go through me.
Some rise up, into the sky.
Some stay back, unable to fly.
And some sink, deep down,
Oblivious, and never found.
One day, quite unannounced, I rose up.
Anxious and afraid, with the wind so gruff.
Up there in the sky, things are great.
You'll never have to regret your mistakes.
Every path will lead you to what you believe.
You'll never have to take pain, or grieve.
My conscience doesn't stop here
Heavens' never been my world.
As times go by, I fall into the arms
of Mother Nature's thirsty farms.
Men praise me, gracefully,
for I, as tiny as I can be,
have given more to the life
that has let me free.
